When ypou have to fight the first Big Daddy use inccenterate then electricute him shot gun then electricute and repeat and hack all turrnets and health machines near Big daddy he’ll be distracted with the turent and nail him a couple o times with the shotgun. Also use hyponize them lead em to water and then electric. Don’t use winter blast it is a huge waste of bullets and eve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Big Daddy itself isn’t reward enough anyway, if he doesnt have a little sister with him, leave him be. He will just keep respawning instantly. Unless you got a ton of ammo and you’re looking for $100 or so. If you still have a couple sisters to get, follow him around, he’ll call her out. Then I go with the Proximity mine plan brougth up earlier. Lay out a couple mines in the monsters path. Maybe throw up a bolt trap here and there. Then give him the STUN – BOMB – STUN – BOMB… etc. If he gets close enough, i Go all Electric Buckshot, right up point blank aiming for his ugly mug. After that, he’ll curl up and die. Oh and of course when ya get the camera,dont forget to research the CRAP outta everything, including daddies, sisters and gun turrets.

i just fought my first big daddy. i died and was revived the first time. the second time i beat him. i walked around the corner, and there just lumbering around was another big daddy… i fought him and killed him. i turn around and there’s another one… am i supposed to fight 3 in a row my first time? or is my game fucked up? for all i know after i kill him (if im even able to)there’s gonna be another one. what do i doooooooo?!?!

I wish my explanation could be as intricate as some of these other ones but I’ve found that using my shotgun with just bucks and aiming for the head or using electric bucks when I have them. And I usually start with incinerate to weaken them a little then go from there.

the easyiest way to take down the big daddys is to set traps.

proxy’s work well to take them down. but it took me 6 of’em to take one BD down. i just plant them in the hall ways, but u need distance between them, and i jkust shoot the BD and run thro the hall leting him follow me. or fire 5 elctro bolts in the same spot and let him run thro that, that’ll kill him for sure. but i found that head shots dont deal the most damage. on his back where the helmut and the suit conect, i shot with a bolt and took out bout 1/4 of his life. i think thats there primary weak spot.

on big daddies use the cross bow electric togg thingy (forget wot its called) plan your strategy shoot 3 or 4 in a row and stand behind them shoot at big daddy and he comes runnin thru them – he dies

I choose to rescue the Little Sisters; I just want to be teh good guy. ^^
As for defeating a Big Daddy:
Once in combat with Daddy, keep distance as much as possible. When a Big Daddy uses his gun, I use telekinesis to create a shield, or I try to take shelter for a second. He’ll stop shooting, and when getting into his sight again, he’ll throw a grenade/minethingie. Use telekinesis to catch the proximity mine in mid-air, and send it flying to Daddy to do some good amount of damage. When Big Poppa’ comes to closes, hit him with electric stuff (bullets of thunderbolt). Repeat the process.

This way I’ve beaten quite some Big Daddies (and Splicers!) without using a lot of EVE or bullets.

Someone asked earlier if there was an easy way to defeat “Big Daddies”. I found four sure fire ways to defeat them.

1. The easiest way is to set up a bunch of proximity mines in a big daddy’s path bunched together. It takes the big daddy’s enegy down to below half if you just use two of the mines.

2. Electric buckshots repeatedly.

3. Heavy use of electric gel

4. Stun big daddy with electric plasmid and hit him with frag grenade

Bioshock Rocks!!! I’m an oldschool gamer. I was around way before the shooter was invented. So trust me, I’ve seen the changes. For expl… when DOOM was first released, it SUCKED!!! And I hated shooters for like ever. Then a friend talked me into watching him play CRYSIS.And oh man, was i sold. I play so many shooters that I have to wear a brace on my hand. I actually broke my thumb in the middle of Halo 2 and had to wait to finish it. Anyway, thanks for the sister advice, and here’s some for the guy who likes em’ harder. PLAY ANYTHING BY CRYTEK! those guys should only put 1 difficulty setting on their games called “YOU ARE GONNA F#$KING DIE!!!” have fun sayin’ those are too easy.
