I bought this LG washer/dryer combo for my son about 3 years ago so that he had the convenience of doing laundry at home. Yes, the clothes are sometimes slightly damp after the dry cycle is completed. I have a Bosch condenser type dryer which works on the same principal as the LG. So even if you dry one clothing article it will still be slightly damp. Both the LG and Bosch have a sensor that can sense the weight of the articles in the dryer and also the dampness of the clothes. Completly drying the clothes with hot air wears out the fabric. If you hang up the clothes as soon as the dryer stops, the clothes should dry in about a half hour with hardly any wrinkles. Occasionally you need to clean the drainage. Remove the bottom left front panel and unscrew the cap. Place a shallow pan to catch the water. Vibrations occur if the machine is not level and also if you're washing a heavy item such as an area rug so legs need to be adjusted. Front loaders do not use much water during the wash cycle which is why it's energy saving and also does not require as much detergent.

Can you pull it out and check to be sure those shipping bolts are absent? My landlord assured they'd been removed when I had same violent shaking but I double-checked any way and low and behold, the bolts were still screwed in. I removed them and that was it, no more vibration even at highest speed.

HI Joe - I've had an LG washer-dryer combo for about 2 months. It cleans beautifully but vibrations are a problem. The appliance delivery man assured me he had removed the shipping bolts. I live on the 3rd floor and have placed the machine on large hockey-puck sized vibration pads. This helps, but I cannot use a spin setting higher than medium.

Any suggestions?

I lived in the place with mine for only a year and so I don't have longer-term experience with the combo. I'm hopeful you can find a solution to your sudden non-drying issue. Hopefully someone else pipes in with suggestion.

I've had mine for almost 4 years and until recently it has been perfect. Now I'm having trouble with drying - after 5 hours the clothes are still wet. Anyone know how to get to the drain in the back to check for lint/clogs?

I just moved into an apartment with one of these. I found the manual by doing a quick Google search:

www.lgwasherdryer.com/combos/wm3431hw.htm

Also, it seems to take all day for one load. When the dry cycle is finished, it remains locked with Cd on the display for a long time. According to the manual we have to press the Start/Stop button and wait 1-2 minutes which I will do today.

For those thinking you cannot initiate the dry until after the wash, you just push the dry button to the desired setting and it will start after the wash.

I don't like how it adds water to the dry cycle, I don't see the need to flush the detergent drawer. Also, I have white clothes that are now brown... a gift from the prior tenants I think.

There is no need for the dryer sheet, it just comes out as a damp dryer sheet.

The clothes do seem dryer if you don't overload it, though i still have to hang them up for a day. Even for just 2 people we are doing a load every day.

I would have liked to have the option not to have it, and since 35.00 a month is automatically added to our rent, I don't want to pay for the laundramat too. It seems senseless to pay so much for a machine that is crap in my opinion, and leaves my clothes more soiled than when we placed them in there.

Checked the drying cycle. Starts from the dry option, more, at 3:50. When it is 3:23 left, it jumps down to 5 minutes left. And yes I did stayed there when that happened.

I had mine for about a year now. Mostly everything is working fine, however, when I'm drying clothes under the option more, the timer sets around 3:50. Then it supposedly is done within 30 minutes later and all the clothes that was supposed to be dry, isn't. I just wonder if anyone is also having the same problems like I do? I'm just thinking of calling LG since I renewed my warranty with me just to check it out. This has been happening for a couple of days now. Don't know what to do?

I just purchased a used one of these via craigslist. I hooked it up and ran it for the first time last night. It dried well, but I have a question about the wash cycle... My machine filled, then tossed the clothes once or twice, then drained and refilled (simultaneously), then tossed a couple times, drain and refill and repeat for the duration of the wash and rinse cycles. It never agitated the clothes for more than two rotations before draining/refilling. Is there something wrong with it, or is this how it normally functions? :(

Thanks!

Had mine for 6 months, worked pretty well but now I have drying problems. It stops short of a normal drying time and leaves clothes very damp. In fact as a test I tossed in one dry t-shirt and after 10 minutes of Drying it came out damp. From what I read I think the drain hose or parts in the machine are clogged. but you can only get to it by opening up the machine, which is crazy. But I can't even do that because I can't find a service manual anywhere. Any one else solve this problem or find a service manual?
